Hi I'm Brad Allen, and my work is all about providing technical solutions to real world business and communications problems.
Everybody has a 'go to' person when it comes to technology, and for many people I am that go to person. I've enjoyed this role so much that
I've made a career out of it.
I Love Technology
One thing I have always enjoyed in the techie world is systems that allow people and machines to communicate.
I love cell phones and telephones in general, it never ceases to amaze me that a little device I carry could enable me to
speak directly with anyone in the industrialized world.
These days (Spring 2007 and forward), I have found a broad need for solutions relating to browser based user applications and databases. Data collection and dissemination systems are my strong point, but I also pride myself in creating eye pleasing and intuitive user interfaces.
My recipe for success is as follows; Start with a pot full of HTML mixed with CSS simmering on top of a hot database, add in extensive PHP, a full cup of JavaScript, and sprinkle in a little AJAX to keep it sanitized then test thoroughly for 3 days on high. Afterwards refrigerate and serve cool and crisp.

Veteran, US Navy
I served in the US Navy as an Electronic Warfare Technician from 1986 to 1992 and received an honorable discharge.
I served on the USS Connole (FF 1056) - a frigate based out of Newport Rhode Island, and the USS Independence (CV-62) a conventionally powered Aircraft Carrier based out of San Diego California and then moved to Yokuska Japan in the fall of 1991. While stationed on the Independence in 1990 I participated in the ships Western Pacific (WESTPAC) cruise. On this cruise I joined the Royal Order of the Shellback while crossing the equator and still carry my membership card with me to this day.
The Independence and I were in the Indian Ocean on our way to Australia when on August 2nd, 1990 Iraqi troops under the command of Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in what is now known as the First Gulf War. Most of our time was spent doing 'circles in the goo' (Gulf of Oman). But at one point we went inside the Persian Gulf as a show of strength and will. We were the first Aircraft Carrier to enter the Persian Gulf in 15 years. At the end of our participation in the Gulf War we had spent a total of one hundred and eleven days at sea.
My departments berthing (living) quarters were on level 03 underneath the flight deck and arresting cables (the number three cable actually ran right underneath my bunk). During flight operations aircraft would literally land on my roof every minute but after my typical long shifts, I slept like a baby.
